We are very proud and happy to have Christian Dunnell on our team as Waterstop Solutions Projects Manager. Christian has 7 years of experience in running engineering and maintenance projects, working in industries such as mining, infrastructure (roads, tunnels, and buildings) and water (wastewater and treatment facilities).
He is a great asset to our team and distinguishes himself by bringing valuable skills and practical experience in conducting asset performance reviews, data analysis and creating maintenance procedures. He demonstrates a remarkable aptitude for diagnosing defects and crafting quality, cost-effective remedial waterproofing and concrete repair solutions for our clients.
Staff Member Spotlight Interview
1. What inspired you to join the Waterstop Solutions team?
I first met Harold quoting some jobs while working on Airport Link, the integrity and knowledge Harold displayed gave inspiration to do more. It was 3 months later that both Chris and Harold encouraged me to go for the role as Project Manager. Waterstop Solutions has given me the ability to utilise business and engineering knowledge in my current role.
2. What three words describe Waterstop Solutions?
Quality, integrity, and mates.
3. What does a typical day look like for you?
Driving across Brisbane, Gold coast and Sunshine coast providing solutions to clients’ problems.
4. What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Knocking off at the end of the day knowing I’ve hopefully relieved stress on clients.
5. What are the most common building defects/issues you see?
Lack of thought in construction whether it be for maintenance or the end user, problems that could have been avoided if enough care was put in during designing and construction.
6. What are your hopes for our industry?
More knowledge and care spread throughout the industry.
7. Your favourite, most challenging project & why?
Has to be working with residential clients, usually problems vary a lot and it feels rewarding developing a solution that will affect someone’s life for the better.
8. What makes you happy?
My family and friends make me happy.
9. Tell us something about you that people may not know
I have a brother who is a renowned chef.
10. What are your favourite things to do outside work?
Going to the gym, playing footy and drinking beers.
