Our Waterstop Solutions team of leak sealing technicians recently completed leak sealing works of a car bay, showing signs of water ingress through the wall-floor joint.

Wall-floor joints in infill slabs often act as leakage points. This can cost-effectively be remediated with targeted high-pressure injection into the joints and cracks to create a deep waterproof seal.

The water intrusion in the infill slab was effectively treated by targeted high-pressure injection into the wall-floor joint. The injected hydrophilic polyurethane resin chased the water deep into cracks and formed a flexible watertight seal.

After allowing the polyurethane to react and bind with any water present in the crack and surrounding concrete to form a flexible seal, the injection ports were removed and the holes filled with a suitable concrete repair material. (This can be followed by the application of an epoxy coating or a negative/reverse side membrane.)

Even a seemingly superficial leak can be symptomatic of hidden moisture-related deterioration, so they are best to remediate at an early stage to help decrease the expenses of extensive remedial repairs.
