High-Flow Leak Sealing Injection At A WWTP

High flow and active leaks are no match for our team of technicians. – In fact, they are one of our team’s favourite things to fix!

Time and time again, our team at Waterstop Solutions efficiently and successfully demonstrate how they stop active leaks by applying their strategically planned and targeted high-pressure injection techniques combined with their knowledge of selecting correct products. Our highly-skilled technicians frequently perform high-pressure leak-sealing injections using specialised leak-sealing systems designed to stop water seepage and high flow water leaks in concrete structures.

The photos below show a high-flow leak at a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Brisbane effectively sealed by our Waterstop Solutions technicians.

The polyurethane injection products are injected under high pressure through the injection ports until the products react with the water (the foaming that is visible in the photo). Waterstop Solutions.

After the polyurethane has finished reacting, the injection port for Leak 1 was removed and drill hole filled with a rapid setting repair mortar (this is Waterstop Solutions’ standard practice as leaking cracks and joints treated in residential or commercial settings can be painted or rendered over by other trades).

We follow best practice guidance for reducing health risk for workers handling sewage, biosolids or recycled water. Our technicians working on WWTP sites are immunised and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Besides being immunised for working in tanks at Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), our Technicians form one of the very few – if not only – waterproofing teams in Australia that is qualified to carry out works in confined spaces. Whilst other remedial companies may average once a year (or at most once a month), our technicians perform quality high-pressure leak-sealing injection work several times a week. If you have any issues with moisture, seepage and/or high-flow active leaks in concrete structures, we would be happy to assist you. You are welcome to contact us with any questions that you may have.
